DOCUMENTARY
Welcome.
I've just started this site, as of June 27th, 2014, and I'm sure it'll be a rough start at first.
No politics or anything like that...just photos...enjoy!
AND I have links to the original photos too.
When visiting the Long Jing District in Taichung City, Taiwan, I always find plenty of things to photograph. This time of year the rice fields are a beautiful deep green and the country-side is lush with color. Here a farmer is weeding his field and being gracious enough to let me photograph him.
One of the great pleasures of living in Taiwan is the never ending change. Whether it be a new restaurant, building or even road repair...there is something going on. In this capture, an elderly woman sits in what little shade that exists and passes the time watching the road being replaced.
While walking through the streets of Taiwan taking photos I still get these great acts of kindness. Like this gentleman here. There is a temple that was newly constructed in the neighborhood I was strolling through, and either he wanted to show me the temple or be the kindly gentleman, or both...either way, he pulled aside. He spoke practically no English at all, but his happiness was contagious and so was his smile. He offered me tea and fresh watermelon and I couldn't have been happier
